Get Involved

ST Michael and All Saints is sustained by the generous offerings of time and skill from its congregation. Every aspect of the church depends on volunteers dedicated to its life and mission. These contributions, whether visible or behind the scenes, are at the heart of what makes the church a place of worship, service, and community.
In the Christian tradition, ministry is not reserved for a select few but is a calling shared by all the baptised. The Apostle Paul describes the Church as a body, with each member playing a vital role. Contributing time and talents to the life of the church is not just practical—it is an expression of faith and a way of participating in God’s work.

There are countless opportunities to get involved. Offering time and skills is one of the ways people live out their faith and turn the shared responsibility of church life into something real. Some examples include:

  • Serving at the altar or assisting with liturgical preparation.

  • Singing in the choir or helping with music-related projects.

  • Coordinating food donations for initiatives like St Salvador’s Community Food Pantry.

  • Welcoming visitors or offering hospitality at events.

  • Caring for the church building and its grounds.

  • Assisting with communications, such as website updates or social media.
